Ministry to Women Biblical Counselling exists to serve the local church and is characterized by an intentional commitment to the sufficiency, authority and relevancy of Scripture, the centrality of the gospel of Jesus Christ, prayer and belonging to the body of Christ—the church. In all that we do, we desire to see women live discerned by the Word, dependent upon prayer to God and devoted to intentional relationships, focused and found in Christ, that serve one another.
What
Through online resources, workshops, counselling intensives or Biblical counselling sessions with Jenn, Ministry to Women Biblical Counselling offers sound Biblical wisdom—in accordance with the truth of God’s Word, the work of the Holy Spirit and the gospel of Jesus Christ—to help women be encouraged and equipped to humbly and faithfully invest in their spiritual growth, in order to “present everyone mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28). Biblical Counselling is the process of taking the truths of Scripture, speaking them in love within a trusted relationship, for the purpose of growth and change, in Christ.
Biblical Counselling Defined
“Biblical counseling is the personal discipleship ministry of God’s people to others under the oversight of God’s church, dependent upon the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word through the work of the Holy Spirit. Biblical counseling seeks to reorient disordered thoughts, desires, affections, behaviors, and worship toward a God-designed anthropology in an effort to restore people to a right fellowship with God and others. This is accomplished by speaking the truth in love and applying Scripture to the need of the moment by comforting the suffering and calling sinners to repentance thus working to make them mature as they abide in Jesus Christ.” —The Official Definition of the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.

MEET JENN
Ministry to Women Biblical Counselling is a ministry of Jenn Martin, whose personal convictions stand in the tradition of historic evangelical confession and as a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Oshawa Ontario, Canada she would adhere to Calvary’s Statement of Faith, and align with The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Canada.
Jenn Martin is a member and certified Biblical Counsellor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), serves on staff as the Women’s Biblical Counsellor and Director of Ministry to Women at Calvary Baptist Church, Oshawa Ontario, and formerly the Director of Women’s Ministry for The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Canada (Central Region).
She enjoys engaging and learning with women of all ages in teaching settings, one-on-one through Biblical Counselling sessions or other Ministry to Women Biblical Counselling initiatives. Jenn and her husband Greg lead one-day intensives through their joint ministry Body Temple Stewardship.
While having mastered the art of a hot cup of coffee, freshly roasted by her husband, Jenn enjoys time spent with her 3 adult children (plus, a daughter and son in law), a good book and a long-awaited summer, Muskoka chair!

A ‘Shift in Thinking’ Ministry Model
Sources are plentiful, but the Word of God is the Resource that we have been entrusted to and equipped with for all areas of life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Now more than ever, women need to be discerned by the Word and humbly dependent on God, through prayer, in order to live as fully devoted disciples of Christ!
Ministry to Women provides a fresh perspective for pastors and women’s ministry leaders to help see churches (re)develop a unique Ministry to Women model of leadership. This requires a shift in thinking: from having a Women’s Ministry program at your church to cultivating a Ministry to Women mindset within your church. It’s a necessary paradigm shift! It speaks to reaching women beyond the limitations of traditional women’s ministry programs and becomes more intentional to equip, disciple and encourage all women in the church as they ‘do’ ministry to women, together!

Live Simple—Declutter with Purpose
Additionally, Jenn previously blogged and encouraged women through teaching workshops, retreats and decluttering consultations that focused on decluttering the home and heart to align with Hebrews 12:1-12 and Ephesians 4:22-24 at Live Simple Declutter with Purpose. She continues to share these practical and Biblical principles with others through discipling and leadership conversations through Ministry to Women initiatives.
